Collective Bargaining Agreement

It is understood that the public can best be served plus progress maintained and furthered in the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry only if there is a sound, reasonable and harmonious working arrangement between the employer and employee.

Know your rights and responsibilities as a UA Local 118 member by reviewing the 2023-2025 Labor Agreement.

Dues Relief / Loss of Time

Dues relief is available to members in good standing who wish to have their dues requirements put on hold through a medical recovery or hardship. A loss of time form must be submitted to the office and approved by the Executive Board. For a planned event, a request should be made in advance of the loss of time. In an emergency, the request should be made as soon as possible. You can obtain a loss of time form, by coming into the office, or requesting one from Michelle at michellem@ualocal118.com.

Politcal Action

Many of you have made it clear that you don't like having other people's agenda pushed on you, or that you don't appreciate being told how to vote. Local 118 encourages you to vote the way you feel is responsible.

We hope you use that vote to protect the labor movement.

PROJECT 2025

Trump's Plan for a Second Term

Trumps policies are bad for unions
Trumps policies are bad for unions
Trumps policies are bad for unions

WHAT IS PROJECT 2025?

Project 2025 is an extreme, 900-page roadmap for a second Trump Administration. It was crafted by anti-union and anti-worker officials to help corporations and the rich profit off our backs.

WHY SHOULD I CARE?

The policies in Project 2025 would be devastating to the UA, our Local Unions, and our members and their families. The below descriptions of specific proposals in Project 2025 include page citations, allowing you to verify these claims for yourself.

WHAT ARE THE SPECIFICS?

  • Repealing the Inflation Reduction Act, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and other laws like the CHIPS Act (Page 365).
  • Alternatives to Unions, which, according to Project 2025, no longer appeal to Americans. (Page 599).
  • The outright elimination of public sector unions (Page 82).
  • Repealing the Davis-Bacon Act (Page 604).
  • Banning Project Labor Agreement requirements by federal agencies (Page 604).
  • Loosening occupational licensing standards (Page 606).
  • Elimination of voluntary recognition as a means of obtaining union representation (Pages 602-603).
  • More investigations by DOL (Page 602).
  • Allowing overtime protections to be waived (Page 605).
  • Repealing union-buster disclosure requirements (Page 602).
