-Apprenticeships are a period of five years consisting of on the job training, paid related instruction and non-paid related instruction that total no less that 8,000 hours.

-Paid Related Instruction(day school): Each Apprentice will attend and pass the curriculum set by the Apprenticeship Committee at Milwaukee Area Technical College, South Campus, for 640 hours. The Apprentice will be paid by the contractor for all hours attended. Classes run once a week, for 8 hours total.

-Non-Paid Related Instruction (Evening School): Steamfitter Apprentices wil attend and pass a minimum of 528 hours of a set curriculum. Service/Refrigeration Apprenticewill attend and pass a minimum of 626 hous of a set curriculum. All evening classes will be assigned by the JAC.

-On the Job Training: Apprentices will be taught the skills needed to become a successful Journeyworker.

-Upon completion of school, the Apprentices will take the Journeyworker Exam .
