2023 Celebrating 130 Years of Service

Founded in 1893, Plumbers & Steamfitters UA Local 118 celebrates 130 years of keeping the residents of Southeastern Wisconsin healthy, warm, and productive with the help of our membership comprised of pipe trade professionals in plumbing, steamfitting, and HVAC/R service.

To celebrate our organization's impact, past and present, our leadership commissioned an artist to design a graphic identity that best represents who we are and how we serve our jurisdiction. Read more on UA Local 118's new logo.

Our New Identity

Since 1893, UA Local 118 has guided Plumbers & Steamfitters of Southeastern Wisconsin in their careers with quality education and training. Additionally, Local 118 has protected its members in their work, guarding fair wages, worksite safety, and quality benefits.

These benefits of membership, this guiding and guarding, are represented by the idea of a lighthouse - with both plumbing and steamfitting coming together to make a strong fixture on the horizon of Lake Michigan.

Five beams of light represent the five years of apprenticeship that illuminate the path forward, symbolism also seen in the flag for the city of Racine. The three windows represent the three counties of the jurisdiction: Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha as the area's health and wellness is protected behind the work of our highly skilled members.
